Earlier in the spring one of our neighbours bought a big poly-tunnel to start growing flowers and help was needed with the putting on of the plastic...... so a large part of the village turned up to help with the procedures. First the plastic was dragged over the previously assembled frame.
Here it is over the metal frame:
We started filling in the ditches with soil, burying the plastic in the ditch (the mini-digger backfilled the rest):
Then we all admired the work!:
Fika (coffee and cakes) was set up inside the tunnel and we all enjoyed the food in true Amish style. We all pulled together, enjoyed ourselves, ate some food and really helped Sophia with her dream.... If only more communities would work together.....
